Park & Recreation Department

The Park and Recreation Department offers a comprehensive and varied program of public recreation activities, services, and resources for residents. Programs are self-sustaining and offer an opportunity for quality use of leisure time in a productive and healthy manner. Recreation facilities include the Atkinson Pool, Fairbank Community Center, toddler playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, sand volleyball court, outdoor skating area (weather permitting), and fields for baseball, field hockey, lacrosse, softball, and soccer. Major recreation areas include Davis Field, Frank G. Feeley Field, and Haskell Recreation Area.

Home Alone - One Day Workshops

This one day course is designed for children who are unattended at home for short periods of time. Children learn telephone and door answering techniques, accident and fire prevention, and first aid skills. The class includes a variety of teaching methods, including active discussion, a video and role playing. Pizza will be served, please bring a drink.
