Tank Removal Permits

The removal of an underground or aboveground oil tank requires that a permit be filed and an inspection be conducted of the tank and surrounding area before the tank leaves the premises.  In the case of underground tanks, a soil sample must be taken by the contractor and sent out for testing.  Please notify the Sudbury Fire Department at least 24 hours in advance of your intent to remove a tank 978-443-2239.
