Redstone School
Walk down the lane behind the chapel to the right to the Redstone School. This building sat on Redstone Hill in Sterling and was purchased by Ford and reconstructed on its present site in 1927. Legend has it that Mary Sawyer of Mary Had a Little Lamb fame, went to school here. Classes of sixteen Sudbury children in grades one through six went to school here from 1927 to 1951 with Ford paying all the bills. The outhouse has been moved from the south side of the school to the north side. How do we know this?
Clue: Why aren't there any windows in the south side of the school?
