Fun was had by all whether it was decorating pumpkins , playing games or petting a baby bull. Thank you 4-H for bringing all your animals.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe winners of the contests were <strong>William Hauser<\/strong> for his <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"10.5\u201d\" data-scaytid=\"1\">10.5&rdquo;<\/span> sunflower head, <strong>Hannah <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"Hodder\" data-scaytid=\"3\">Hodder<\/span><\/strong> for her 33 lb pumpkin and <strong>Alyssa Phillips<\/strong> for her Pumpkin &#8211; Orange Bread.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" style=\"width: 521px\" width=\"521\">\n<tbody>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"width: 205px; height: 20px\">\nHere is the winning recipe &#8211;<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 316px\">\n&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td colspan=\"2\" height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n<strong>Pumpkin &#8211; Orange Bread<\/strong> (makes 2 loaves) submitted by Alyssa Phillips<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n3 cups flour<\/td>\n<td>\n2 cups sugar<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n1&frac12; teaspoons baking soda<\/td>\n<td>\n&frac34; canola oil<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n&frac12; teaspoon baking powder<\/td>\n<td>\n&frac34; orange juice<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n1 teaspoon salt<\/td>\n<td>\n1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n1 <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"Tbsp\" data-scaytid=\"7\">Tbsp<\/span> cinnamon<\/td>\n<td>\n2 cups walnuts or pecans (optional)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n&frac12; teaspoon nutmeg<\/td>\n<td>\n&frac34; cup dried sweetened cranberries ( or whole cranberries)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n&frac12; teaspoon allspice<\/td>\n<td>\n&frac12; cup raisins (optional)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr height=\"20\">\n<td height=\"20\" style=\"height: 20px\">\n4 eggs<\/td>\n<td>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<colgroup>\n<col \/>\n<col \/>\n<\/colgroup>\n<\/table>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px\">\nPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter two 8 &frac12; x 4 &frac12; x 2 &frac12; &ldquo; loaf pans. Dust pans with flour or better, dust with plain bread crumbs.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px\">\nSift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px\">\nWith an electric mixer, beat the eggs and sugar for 1 minute, Beat in oil, orange juice and pumpkin.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px\">\nGradually add dry ingredients to the batter until it is smooth.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px\">\nStir in nuts, cranberries, and raisins. Pour into pans.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px\">\nBake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes if you are using metal pans. (Yes it really does take that long, but check at 1 hour 5 minutes.) If you are using glass pans, time will be more like 1 hour 5 minutes.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px\">\nCool slightly on a rack for 15 minutes, then turn breads out of pans to cool completely.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 4px; padding-left: 4px; padding-right: 4px; padding-top: 4px\">\nEnjoy! Great for breakfast, brunch, or a snack.
