Most smokers will qualify for free patches, though those with certain medical conditions &#8211; pregnancy, recent heart attack, and other medical conditions &#8211; will not qualify.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>These patches help reduce your body&#8217;s craving for nicotine and make it easier to quit smoking.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The kits include a two-week supply of patches, along with quit tips and information on resources for smokers who want to quit.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>1-800-Try-To-Stop is open for extended hours through August 31, 2008:<\/P><br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<LI>Monday through Friday 9:00am &#8211; 9:00pm<\/LI><br \/>\n<LI>Saturday and Sunday 10:00am &#8211; 6:00pm<\/LI><\/UL><br \/>\n<P>For more information, please visit <A href=\"http:\/\/www.makesmokinghistory.org\/quitting-smoking\/index.html\">http:\/\/www.makesmokinghistory.org\/quitting-smoking\/index.html<\/P><\/A><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Massachusetts Tobacco Control Program will be offering free nicotine patches to smokers (must be MA residents) who call the State&#8217;s Quitline at 1-800-Try-To-STOP (1-800-879-8678).
