The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will be controlling mosquitoes in neighborhoods of Sudbury using truck mounted aerosol sprayers on Wednesday, June 20th<\/sup> and Thursday, June 21st<\/sup>. All spraying is done between dusk and 11:30 PM. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Wednesday, spraying is scheduled for neighborhoods that are located near Landham<\/span> Rd., Woodside Rd., Raymond Rd., Dudley Rd., Goodman\u2019s Hill Rd. and Indian Ridge Rd.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Thursday spraying is scheduled for streets that are located near Dakin<\/span> Rd., Powers Rd., Powder Mill Rd., Pantry Rd., Haynes Rd., Mossman<\/span> Rd., Willis Rd., Ford Rd., Maynard Rd., Fairbanks Rd., Moore Rd. and the Pine Lakes neighborhood.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Project uses a spray formulation containing the pesticide, sumithrin<\/span>, to control mosquitoes. Sumithrin<\/span> is a synthetic pyrethroid<\/span> that is classified as slightly toxic by the EPA. Mosquito control applications of sumithrin<\/span> do not pose a significant risk to people or their pets due to the low toxicity of sumithrin<\/span> and the small amount used to control mosquitoes. As with any pesticide, people should minimize exposure. If residents see a spray truck approaching, they are advised to go indoors for a couple of minutes while the spray dissipates.
