{"id":31,"date":"2011-07-25T10:30:06","date_gmt":"2011-07-25T10:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cho\/2011\/07\/25\/sudbury-housing-production-plan-approved\/"},"modified":"2018-03-05T11:51:28","modified_gmt":"2018-03-05T16:51:28","slug":"sudbury-housing-production-plan-approved","status":"public-archive","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cho\/2011\/07\/25\/sudbury-housing-production-plan-approved\/","title":{"rendered":"Sudbury Housing Production Plan approved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Housing Production Program (<span class=\"scayt-misspell\">HPP<\/span>) is a legislated set of regulations to assist municipalities in developing strategies to meet its affordable housing needs in a manner consistent with the <span class=\"scayt-misspell\">MGL<\/span> Chapter <span class=\"scayt-misspell\">40B<\/span> statute, and to produce housing units in accordance with that plan that demonstrate progress towards their affordable housing production.<\/p>\n<p>By taking a proactive approach in the adoption of a <span class=\"scayt-misspell\">HPP<\/span>, cities and towns are much more likely to achieve both their affordable housing and community planning goals. <span class=\"scayt-misspell\">HPPs<\/span> give communities that are under the 10% threshold of Chapter <span class=\"scayt-misspell\">40B<\/span>, but are making steady progress in producing affordable housing on an annual basis, more control over comprehensive permit applications for a specified period of time.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"\/documents\/download.asp?id=6564\">Sudbury Housing Production Plan<\/a> provides the framework for the housing program in Sudbury, and offers a comprehensive analysis for the benefit of the Town residents.
