Annual Town Election Monday, March 26 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

Polls are open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM<\/p>\n

PCT. 1, 1A, 2, and 5 vote at Fairbank Community Center, 40 Fairbank Road<\/p>\n

PCT. 3 and 4 vote at the Town Hall, 322 Concord Road<\/p>\n

If you are not currently registered to vote in Sudbury, March 6<\/strong> was the deadline to register and be eligible to vote in the Annual Town Election. Town Clerk’s Office was open until 8 PM on Tuesday, March 6.<\/p>\n

Persons who are United States Citizens, residents of Massachusetts, and who will be at least 18 years old on or before March 26 are eligible to register. Those meeting these qualifications and have a Massachusetts Driver\u2019s License can submit their registration online at www.RegisterToVoteMA.com<\/u><\/a>.<\/strong> Mail in registrations must be postmarked on or before the deadline.<\/p>\n

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot for the March 26 Election is 5 PM  Friday, March 23.<\/p>\n

Votes for Write-In Candidates <\/strong><\/a>or sticker votes should include the correct name and address of the candidates. However, courts have ruled that a vote should be counted whenever the intent of the voter can reasonably be determined, even if a voter omits the candidate\u2019s address or makes a mistake in the name or address. If the intent of the voter can be determined with reasonable certainty from an inspection of the ballot, in the light of the generally known conditions attendant upon the election, effect must be given to that intent. This includes where a voter fails to complete the oval next to the write-in space\u2014the write-in vote will still be counted.<\/p>\n
