{"id":185,"date":"2022-01-28T00:00:34","date_gmt":"2022-01-28T05:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/clerk\/2013\/07\/30\/raffle-and-bazaar-permit\/"},"modified":"2026-03-16T11:19:46","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T15:19:46","slug":"raffle-and-bazaar-permit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/clerk\/2022\/01\/28\/raffle-and-bazaar-permit\/","title":{"rendered":"Raffle and Bazaar Permit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PERMIT TO CONDUCT A RAFFLE OR BAZAAR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MGL CHAPTER 271, SECTION 7A (CHAPTER 810 OF THE ACTS OF 1969, AMENDED BY CHAPTER 415 OF THE ACTS OF 1976).<\/p>\n<p>The following types of organizations are eligible for a Raffle or Bazaar permit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Veteran\u2019s organization chartered by US Congress or included in clause 12 of General Laws Chp. 40, \u00a7 5<\/li>\n<li>Church or religious organization<\/li>\n<li>Fraternity or fraternal benefit society<\/li>\n<li>Educational or charitable organization<\/li>\n<li>Civic or service club or organization<\/li>\n<li>Club or organization operated for pleasure, recreation and other nonprofit purposes, no part of the net earnings of which inures to the benefit of any member or shareholder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Raffle and Bazaar Permit Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Obtain application materials from Town Clerk\u2019s office and complete all forms<\/li>\n<li>Send to\/drop off application at Town Clerk\u2019s Office\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha\">\n<li>Enclose the $25 application fee ($15 for renewals).
