{"id":4501,"date":"2025-12-30T15:03:53","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T20:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/clerk\/?p=4501"},"modified":"2026-01-13T12:20:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T17:20:58","slug":"positions-available-for-2026-annual-town-election","status":"public-archive","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/clerk\/2025\/12\/30\/positions-available-for-2026-annual-town-election\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Positions for the March 30, 2026 Annual Town Election"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Nomination papers and packets to run for office in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/clerk\/?p=4928\">2026 Annual Town Election<\/a> will be available starting Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at the Sudbury Town Clerk&#8217;s Office.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The deadline to<em> file intentions<\/em>\/<em>take out<\/em> nomination papers for the 2026 Annual Town Election is <strong>Thursday, February 5th, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline to <em>return <\/em>completed nomination papers for the 2026 Annual Town Election is <strong>Monday, February 9th, 2026<\/strong>&nbsp;at the Sudbury Town Clerk&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The following positions will appear on the 2026 Annual Town Election Ballot:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/selectboard\"><strong>Select Board<\/strong> <\/a>&#8211; One 3-year terms<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/boardofassessors\/\"><strong>Board of Assessors<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; One 3-year term<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/librarytrustees\"><strong>Goodnow Library Trustees<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Two 3-year terms<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/boardofhealth\"><strong>Board of Health<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; One 3-year term<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/parkrecreationcommission\"><strong>Park and Recreation Commission<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; One 3-year term<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/planning\"><strong>Planning Board<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; One 3-year term<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/schcomm\"><strong>Sudbury School Committee<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Two 3-year terms&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/lsschoolcomm\"><strong>Lincoln Sudbury Regional District School Committee<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Two 3-year terms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Click here for current <a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/clerk\/2026\/01\/06\/2026-annual-town-election\/\">List of Candidates<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nomination papers and packets for Town offices will be available on Tuesday, January 6th for <strong>both incumbents as well as new candidates.<\/strong> If a candidate is not able to personally come to the Town Clerk&#8217;s Office to file intentions to run for office and pick up the nomination papers, the candidate should contact the Town Clerk\u2019s Office by phone at 978-639-3351 or email at <a href=\"mailto:clerk@sudbury.ma.us\">clerk@sudbury.ma.us<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates for the<strong> Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee<\/strong> may obtain nomination papers from the District Clerk, Casey Friend, at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, 390 Lincoln Road, Sudbury.
