For further information call (978) 639-3351.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p><u><strong><strong>&nbsp;Absentee Ballot Application Deadline is&nbsp;12 Noon&nbsp;on Wednesday,&nbsp;September&nbsp;5, 2012.<\/strong><\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;<b><i><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-size: large;\">The Absentee Ballot&nbsp;Application is for use by:<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\">\u2022 <strong><u>A registered voter<\/u><\/strong> who will be unable to vote at the polls on election day due to: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\">(1) absence from your city or town during normal polling hours; or <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\">(2) physical disability preventing you from going to the polling place; or <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #221e1f; font-family: Garamond BookCondensed,Garamond BookCondensed; font-size: small;\">(3) religious belief; <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">OR<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A <strong><u>non-registered voter<\/u><\/strong> who is:<\/p>\n<p>(1) a Massachusetts citizen absent from the state; or<\/p>\n<p>(2) an active member of the armed forces or merchant marines, their spouse or dependent; or<\/p>\n<p>(3) a person confined in a correctional facility or a jail, except if by reason of felony conviction.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Click Here for the<\/em><\/strong> <a href=\"\/documents\/download.asp?id=3799\">Absentee Ballot Application<\/a>&nbsp;<strong><em>or the<\/em><\/strong> <a href=\"\/documents\/download.asp?id=3800\">Absentee Ballot Application by a Family Member<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All absentee ballots returned by mail&nbsp;or hand delivered to the Town Clerk&#8217;s office must be received before the polls close on Election Day. Ballots&nbsp;may be&nbsp;returned to the Town Clerk&#8217;s office only. <u><strong>They&nbsp;cannot be accepted at the polling locations on Election Day.<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Please note:<\/strong>&nbsp;Absentee ballots that&nbsp;are mailed to the voter can either be mailed back to the city or town clerk or hand-delivered to city or town hall by the voter or a family member. G. L. c. 54, \u00a7 92.
