The adaptation of wildlife, shown through the safe movement of turtles along the newly installed fencing and through designated crossing points, was the key indicator of this project’s success. Observing turtles successfully navigating these pathways without entering the roadway demonstrated that the conservation measures were effectively reducing mortality and supporting healthier wildlife behavior in the area. Trail cameras along Raymond Road were used to monitor turtle activity and assess how effective the fencing was in guiding turtles away from the roadway and into the culvert below the road.<\/p>\n
