It twines with the help of non-adhesive tendrils that occur opposite the leaves and closely resemble native grapes. The berries themselves will show up in a range of colors on the plant, including white, green, purple, and blue, with black speckles. The leaves can range from heart shaped to three distinct lobes, and are all toothed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Control:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hand pulling of vines in the fall or spring will prevent flower buds from forming the following season. Where feasible, plants should be pulled up by hand before fruiting to prevent the production and dispersal of seeds. If the plants are pulled while in fruit, the fruits should be bagged.
