\n\t <\/span><\/span><\/b>
\n\tThe Sudbury Conservation Commission will be hosting five Friday morning walks on conservation lands in Town.  <\/span>We will begin the walks on Friday, April 29th at 9:30 am.  <\/span>Walks will end approximately 11:00am.  <\/span><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\t
\n\tThis year’s walks will begin with an easy walk through the Hop Brook conservation land off Dutton Road.  <\/span>The parking area is located next to #347 Dutton Road.  <\/span>Please park in the gravel area or along the roadway.  <\/span>There is room to pull off the road here.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\t <\/font><\/o:p><\/p>\n

\n\tOn the walk we will see extensive beaver activity; a lodge, scent mounds, tree removal, and dams.  <\/span>We will visit a vernal pool to look for frog and salamander eggs.  <\/span>We will look for animal tracks in the mud and sand and see who we can identify.  <\/span>We will discuss the history of the area and see what signs of the past remain visible and give us clues to former uses of the land.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\t <\/font><\/o:p><\/p>\n

\n\tTrails can be muddy in places and footing may be a bit uneven around the pond.  <\/span>Bring appropriate shoes, water, bug spray (ticks are likely), hat, sunscreen, and a sense of exploration and discovery.  <\/span>Kids and leashed dogs are welcomed!  <\/span>Don’t forget binoculars, cameras, field guides, etc if you desire.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tPlease inform the walk leader at the start of the walk if you must <\/i>be back to your car by noon.  <\/span>Please dress according to the weather.   <\/span>If steady rain or other inclement weather is predicted, a message will be posted on the Town of Sudbury website’s Front Page news by 9:00am.  <\/span>If in doubt, please check the website.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
