Sudbury&#8217;s grant was one of the top ten such grants issued state-wide.&nbsp; Based upon Sudbury\u2019s FY \u201906 CPA local surcharge revenue, the state funding match comes to $1,248,806.&nbsp; These funds are part of the roughly $59 million that the Massachusetts Department of Revenue distributed on October 13, 2006 to the 102 communities currently participating in the CPA.&nbsp; The average grant was $575,000.&nbsp; Of the top ten grants, only one other went to a town of similar size (Weston).&nbsp; Not every town receives a 100% match, which doubles the funds available for current and future projects in the categories of open space, historic preservation, community housing, and recreation.&nbsp; This is the 4<sup>th<\/sup> year that Sudbury has received a 100% match, effectively discounting by 50% the cost to the town of the 21 CPA projects approved by Town Meeting since the program\u2019s inception.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year, in response to its Request for Proposals, the CPC received six proposals prior to the October 13, 2006 deadline for such requests.&nbsp; These new projects will be reviewed by the Committee this fall in anticipation of the April 2007 Town Meeting.&nbsp; From the beginning, the CPC has been&nbsp;conservative in estimating its revenues, and has \u201cbanked\u201d a substantial portion of its funds to insure that monies will be available for future projects.&nbsp; A conservative $1.1 million in local surcharge revenue is anticipated in FY \u201907, and the CPC expects to receive another 100% state match in October of 2007.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over $1.2 million received from State <a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/2006\/11\/09\/community-preservation-committee-announces-100-state-match\/\" aria-label=\"Read full article about Community Preservation Committee Announces 100% State Match\">Read full article<span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false},"categories":[1,6],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/15"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=15"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/15\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":967,"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/15\/revisions\/967"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=15"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=15"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/cpc\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=15"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
