The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is conducting a Coordinated Program Review (CPR), the requisite triennial examination of the Sudbury Public Schools to monitor compliance with federal and state special education and civil rights regulations.<\/p>\n

All facets of assuring equal educational opportunities and experiences for students with special needs of all types are monitored through this review process.  The CPR entails onsite visits, outreach to parents through on online survey, and solicitation of direct conversations with parents and community members.<\/p>\n

An online survey for families of children with IEPs is open until April 30th 2019.  Your response to the survey is important and highly regarded.  Corey Steinman is the “go to” person at DESE for any questions on that.  Beyond the survey, your anonymous responses are invited and can be submitted through Sudbury SEPAC’s Feedback Portal.  They will be forwarded to Mr. Steinman.<\/p>\n

All SPS families, school staff, and Sudbury community members at large are encouraged to provide feedback about the special education process and compliance via email or may request a telephone interview by contacting Mr. Steinman.  He may be reached csteinman@doe.mass.edu<\/u><\/a> or (781) 338-3742.  <\/p>\n
