The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project is planning to use a truck mounted aerosol sprayer to apply Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg No. 2724.807) at a rate of 1 oz per acre in Framingham, Bedford, Sudbury and Reading. <\/strong>Spraying will be done between dusk and 11:30 PM.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Monday, July 26, 2021<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of Framingham<\/strong> that are located south of Waverly Street near Fay Road, Bethany Road, Winthrop Street, Hollis Street, Irving Street and Jodie Road.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Tuesday, July 27, 2021<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of Bedford<\/strong> that are located in the vicinity of Washington Street, Marion Road, Short Street, Alaska Avenue, Dunelm Road, Ridge Terrace, Meadowbrook Road and Sweeney Ridge Road.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Wednesday, July 28, 2021<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of Sudbury<\/strong> that are located in the vicinity of Howell Road, Austin Road, Barton Drive, Oakwood Avenue, Reeves Street, Pratt\u2019s Mill Road and Evergreen Road.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Also on Wednesday, July 28, 2021<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of Bedford<\/strong> that are located west of North Road, north of Concord Road and in the vicinity of Gould Road and Hayden Lane.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Thursday, July 29, 2021<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of Reading <\/strong>in the vicinity of Pearl Street, Charles Street, Haverhill Street and Libby Avenue.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If any of the nights are postponed, the area will be rescheduled for the following week.<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n The mosquito control product being used is Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg No. 2724.807), and it\u2019s being applied at 1 oz per acre. Zenivex E4 is a non-ester pyrethroid and is classified by the EPA as a reduced risk pesticide. Mosquito control applications of Zenivex E4 do not pose a significant risk to people or their pets due to the low toxicity and the small amount used to control mosquitoes. As with any pesticide, people should minimize their exposure. If residents see a spray truck approaching, they are advised to go indoors for a few minutes while the spray dissipates. Residents are also advised to close windows. Beekeepers do not need to take any special precautions since spraying begins after dusk.
