{"id":816,"date":"2022-07-08T13:50:59","date_gmt":"2022-07-08T17:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/emmcp\/?p=816"},"modified":"2022-07-08T13:50:59","modified_gmt":"2022-07-08T17:50:59","slug":"spray-schedule-for-the-week-beginning-july-11-2022","status":"public-archive","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/emmcp\/2022\/07\/08\/spray-schedule-for-the-week-beginning-july-11-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Spray Schedule for the Week Beginning July 11, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project is planning to use a truck mounted aerosol sprayer to apply Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg No. 2724.807) at a rate of 1 oz per acre in<strong> Bedford, Wakefield, Sudbury <\/strong>and <strong>Framingham <\/strong>the week beginning <strong>Monday, July 11, 2022. <\/strong>Spraying will be done between sunset and 11:30 PM.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Monday, July 11, 2022<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of <strong>Bedford <\/strong>that are located in the vicinity of Washington Street, Winthrop Avenue, Marion Road, Evergreen Avenue, Short Street, Alaska Avenue, Ridge Terrace, Dunelm Road, Ledgewood Drive, Meadowbrook Road and Sweeney Ridge Road.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Tuesday, July 12, 2022<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of <strong>Wakefield <\/strong>that are located in the vicinity of Bartley Street, Nahant Street, Oak Street, Greenwood Street, Spring Street and Harrison Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Wednesday, July 13, 2022<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of <strong>Sudbury <\/strong>that are located in the vicinity of Howell Road, Austin Road, Barton Drive, Oakwood Avenue, Reeves Street, Pratt\u2019s Mill Road and Evergreen Road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Thursday, July 14, 2022<\/strong>, spraying is scheduled for areas of <strong>Framingham<\/strong> that are located south of Waverly Street near Fay Road, Bethany Road, Winthrop Street, Hollis Street, Irving Street, Bates Road, Hickory Hill Lane and Jodie Road.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If any of the nights are postponed, spraying will be rescheduled for the following week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The mosquito control product being used is Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg No. 2724.807), and it\u2019s being applied at 1 oz per acre. Zenivex E4 is a non-ester pyrethroid and is classified by the EPA as a reduced risk pesticide. Mosquito control applications of Zenivex E4 do not pose a significant risk to people or their pets due to the low toxicity and the small amount used to control mosquitoes. As with any pesticide, people should minimize their exposure.&nbsp; If residents see a spray truck approaching, they are advised to go indoors for a few minutes while the spray dissipates. Residents are also advised to close windows. Beekeepers do not need to take any special precautions since spraying begins after sunset. Zenivex E4 biodegrades rapidly and doesn\u2019t build up in the environment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If residents have any questions related to mosquitoes or mosquito control, contact the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project at 781-899-5730.
