{"id":819,"date":"2022-07-15T13:06:49","date_gmt":"2022-07-15T17:06:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/emmcp\/?p=819"},"modified":"2022-07-15T13:06:49","modified_gmt":"2022-07-15T17:06:49","slug":"spray-schedule-for-the-week-beginning-july-18-2022","status":"public-archive","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/emmcp\/2022\/07\/15\/spray-schedule-for-the-week-beginning-july-18-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Spray Schedule for the Week Beginning July 18, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project is planning to use a truck mounted aerosol sprayer to apply Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg No. 2724.807) at a rate of 1 oz per acre in<b> Burlington <\/b>and <b>North Reading <\/b>the week beginning <b>Monday, July 18, 2022. <\/b>Spraying will be done between sunset and 11:30 PM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">On<b> Monday, July 18, 2022<\/b>, spraying is scheduled for areas of <b>Burlington<\/b> that are located in neighborhoods in the vicinity of Hemlock Lane, B Street, Victor Avenue, Old Colony Road, Birch Street, Colburn Street, Glen Avenue, Mountain Road and Hampden Road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">On <b>Tuesday, July 19, 2022<\/b>, spraying will be done in areas of <b>Burlington<\/b> that are located in the vicinity of Sandra Av., Irene St., Paula St., Beaverbrook Rd., Donald Rd. and Drake Rd.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">On <b>Wednesday July 20, 2022,<\/b> spraying is scheduled for areas of <b>North Reading <\/b>that are located near Grant Street, Southwick Road, Park Street, Winter Street, Ridgeway Road and Viewcrest Road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">On <b>Thursday, July 21, 2022<\/b>, spraying will be done in areas of <b>North Reading<\/b> that are located near Foley Dr., Chestnut St., Williams Rd., Angel Rd., Fieldstone Way and Bishops Way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">If any of the nights are postponed, spraying will be rescheduled for the following week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The mosquito control product being used is Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg No. 2724.807), and it\u2019s being applied at 1 oz per acre. Zenivex E4 is a non-ester pyrethroid and is classified by the EPA as a reduced risk pesticide. Mosquito control applications of Zenivex E4 do not pose a significant risk to people or their pets due to the low toxicity and the small amount used to control mosquitoes. As with any pesticide, people should minimize their exposure.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>If residents see a spray truck approaching, they are advised to go indoors for a few minutes while the spray dissipates. Residents are also advised to close windows. Beekeepers do not need to take any special precautions since spraying begins after sunset. Zenivex E4 biodegrades rapidly and doesn\u2019t build up in the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">If residents have any questions related to mosquitoes or mosquito control, contact the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project at 781-899-5730.
