{"id":784,"date":"2023-01-18T17:38:55","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T22:38:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/energy\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=784"},"modified":"2023-01-18T17:43:27","modified_gmt":"2023-01-18T22:43:27","slug":"what-is-community-aggregation","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/energy\/faq\/what-is-community-aggregation\/","title":{"rendered":"What is Community Aggregation?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Community Aggregation or municipal aggregation is a program that allow local governments to facilitate the procurement of energy on behalf of their residents, businesses, and municipal accounts from an alternative energy supplier while still receiving electric delivery service from their existing Local Distribution Company (Eversource). Nationally known as Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), they are an effective option for communities that want more local control over their electricity sources, more green energy than is offered by their existing utility\u2019s default energy fuel mix, and\/or lower electricity prices.
