The Town of Sudbury is holding a 30-day public review period for its revised aggregation plan<\/a><\/span> for Sudbury Community Electricity Aggregation. Sudbury CEA is our Town\u2019s o\ufb03cial electricity supply program, active since 2017.<\/p>\n

The aggregation plan describes how our electricity program is structured and operated. Sudbury secured approval for our original aggregation plan from the Department of Public Utilities (DPU) in 2017. In July 2024, the DPU issued new rules for aggregation plans, called \u201cGuidelines for Municipal Aggregators\u201d.<\/strong> The Guidelines expand local authority for cities and towns concerning the operation of their programs and increase public transparency about program operations. The revisions to our aggregation plan ensure that the plan aligns with the new Guidelines.<\/p>\n

The revised plan will not<\/span> impact Sudbury CEA\u2019s current electricity supply options and prices which are \ufb01xed until December 2025 through our supply contract with Dynegy. No action is required by existing participants to continue receiving the current pricing.<\/p>\n

On the program website, Sudbury-CEA.com<\/a>, you can review both the revised plan<\/span><\/a><\/strong> and the current plan<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. You can also watch a short video describing the revised plan and read the DPU Guidelines. The program website has a comment form to provide written comments, or you may email \u201csupport_ma+Sudbury@goodenergy.com<\/a><\/u>\u201d with the subject line \u201cSudbury Plan Comments.\u201d Good Energy is the consultant that developed and manages our program on a day-to-day basis.<\/p>\n
