As the result of a regulatory event, the Town of Sudbury\u2019s current aggregation rates will be increasing by $0.00083\/kWh effective with the March 2021 meter read. For details about the increase, please see Program Participant Letter<\/a> <\/span>(sent to all Program participants by the electricity supplier, NextEra), Rate Increase Notice press release<\/a> (1\/26\/21) and info below.<\/p>\n

Rate Increase Notice<\/h4>\n

As the result of a regulatory event, in this case the finalization of the Clean Energy Standard Expansion (CES-E), which requires retail suppliers to annually demonstrate the use of clean energy to generate a specified percentage of their electricity sales, the Town of Sudbury\u2019s current aggregation rates will be increasing by $0.00083\/kWh effective with the March 2021 meter read.<\/p>\n

The new price will remain fixed through December 2023. NextEra, the supplier for the aggregation program, will be sending an explanatory letter<\/a> of the price change to all customers participating in the Program.<\/p>\n

How Does the New Price Compare?<\/h4>\n

The new price represents an increase of approximately $0.50 per month for residential customers purchasing default service – Sudbury All Green – and using an average of 600 kWh per month. The current and new prices for each of the products offered through Sudbury CEA are shown below:<\/p>\n

The Program can not guarantee savings compared to the Eversource Basic Service rates, as the Basic Service rates change every 6 months for residential and small commercial customers and every 3 months for large commercial and industrial customers.
