Senior Center Shelter Closing at 10am/List of Additional Resources

Currently, electricity has been restored to the majority of Sudbury residents and utilization of the emergency shelter and charging/warming station at the Sudbury Senior Center has been dwindling since Saturday. Therefore, the shelter will officially close Sunday 3/11 at 9:30am.

For those still without power, the following resources are available:

  • Goodnow Library is open Sunday 1-5pm and Monday 9am-9pm. They have been welcoming residents to warm up and charge devices all weekend.
  • Longfellow Club continues to offer their showering facilities as well as places for residents to warm up and charge their devices. The Club is located at 524 Boston Post Rd, Wayland; (508) 358-7355.

The following hotels have vacancies and are offering discounts to those displaced by power outages:

  • The Fairfield Inn by Marriott: 738 Boston Post Rd, Sudbury; 978-443-2223. Offering King rooms with pullout sofa beds for $105/night. Note that you are eligible for the “resident rate” when calling.
  • Holiday Inn and Suites: 265 Lakeside Ave, Marlborough; 508-481-3000. Request the “storm rate” when you call and rooms will cost $89/night.
  • Hilton Garden Inn: 170 Forest St., Marlborough; 508-251-6706. Their rate is $129/night. When calling, let them know that you do not have power and are requesting this rate.
