The Town is currently in the process of preparing a Communitywide Historic Preservation Plan under the leadership of the Historical Commission and the Historic Districts Commission, with support from the Planning & Community Development Department and the Town\u2019s preservation planning consultant, Heritage Strategies, LLC. The Historic Preservation Plan is an implementation action called for in the 2021 Sudbury Master Plan and is funded through a grant from the Massachusetts Historical Commission matched with some of the Town\u2019s Community Preservation Act funds. This Historic Preservation Plan will help to further best practices to recognize, protect, preserve, and enhance the Town\u2019s historic buildings, villages, landscapes, and other heritage resources.<\/p>\n

While this survey will be up for a few weeks, we encourage you to respond to this survey as soon as you are able.<\/p>\n Goals of the Historic Preservation Plan are recognition of the role that historic buildings and landscape resources play in Sudbury\u2019s identity, character, and quality of life, and identification of ways in which the Town\u2019s historic character can be preserved and enhanced through cooperative action.
