That\u2019s where our commitment to training comes in.<\/p>\n<p>At the Sudbury Police Department, we believe in developing well-trained, well-educated officers. We offer extensive training opportunities, encourage professional development, and support requests for specialized instruction, including some of the most advanced training available.<\/p>\n<p>Education is also a priority. The department offers tuition reimbursement of up to 50% for Criminal Justice or related college courses (with a grade of B- or better). In addition, officers who earn a degree in a related field may receive an educational incentive of up to 25% of their annual salary.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond training and education, the benefits are substantial. As a Sudbury Police Officer, you will be enrolled in the Middlesex Retirement System as a Group 4 employee, making you eligible for up to an 80% pension with a more favorable age and years-of-service combination than many other careers.<\/p>\n<p>The department offers a competitive salary, with patrol officers having the opportunity to earn up to $105,899* after five years (including holiday pay, stipends, differentials, and a Master\u2019s degree). This does not include overtime opportunities or paid details, which can reach $70 per hour\u2014or $105 per hour for nights, Sundays, and holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Town of Sudbury provides a comprehensive health insurance package, covering 70% of costs under an HMO plan, with multiple options available to meet your needs.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage both academy-trained and non-academy-trained applicants to apply.
