Yoga Therapy for Stroke is a class designed to improve stroke survivors health and well-being. Participants will learn to balance their nervous system through applied yoga postures and breathing exercises. Benefits of yoga therapy for stroke include increased flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, as well as improved speech, fine motor and gross motor skills. Participants find that yoga and breathing exercises help them to relax and gain confidence while working on SLP, OT, and PT therapy goals. This is small group class format. Caregivers are welcome and encouraged to participate to help so they too can learn to incorporate yoga therapy tools into the daily lives of the stroke survivor.
