This decision prioritizes public safety and health and adheres to restrictions enacted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts regarding outdoor gatherings. It also marks the second year in a row the Committee has had to forego the Town\u2019s commemoration. Last year\u2019s ceremony was called off due to an elevated risk of Eastern equine encephalitis.<\/p>\n

Despite cancellation of this year\u2019s morning observance, Sudbury residents are encouraged to visit the September 11th Memorial Garden safely throughout the day to pay their respects.<\/p>\n
