Please find details below.<\/p>\n<h5>Atkinson Dive Well Issue<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>EPA notification received 3\/26\/24<\/li>\n<li>Complaint regarding chlorinated water leakage from Atkinson Dive Well<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Assessment and Repair<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Atkinson Dive Well Closed until further notice, effective 3\/27\/24<\/li>\n<li>Dive Well Dechlorinated\n<ul>\n<li>De-chlorination neutralizes chlorine to eliminates environmental concerns of chlorinated water discharging into the ground<\/li>\n<li>Completed 3\/27\/24<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Barricades installed around dive well to prevent unauthorized or accidental entry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Next Steps<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Atkinson Dive Well<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Determine location of leak\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring\n<ul>\n<li>Dive Well is <em>not<\/em> being drained at this time<\/li>\n<li>If water level stabilizes, it will help identify source of leak<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Inspection\n<ul>\n<li>Determine the location of leak<\/li>\n<li>Possibilities include skimmers and associated piping that have not been replaced, new piping failure, valve failure, infrastructure cracks, or a combination of factors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Complete necessary repairs\n<ul>\n<li>If it is necessary to drain the Dive Well, additional barricading will be implemented<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Reopen Dive Well\n<ul>\n<li>A reopening date is not yet known<\/li>\n<li>Please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/sudbury.ma.us\/\">Town of Sudbury<\/a> website for updates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Atkinson Lap Pool <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Lap Pool is currently open<\/u> while Dive Well assessment is underway<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to water leakage, the Atkinson Dive Well is closed until further notice.
