The forum will focus on zoning changes that could foster redevelopment of the corridor into a more compact and pedestrian accessible village. The meeting will be directed by planners from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (<span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"MAPC\" data-scaytid=\"1\">MAPC<\/span>), which awarded Sudbury a technical assistance grant in the amount of $25,000 to undertake the project.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"MAPC\" data-scaytid=\"3\">MAPC<\/span> planners will use visual examples of other successful development schemes to help residents articulate a vision for Route 20, and <strong>residents will have the opportunity to vote by electronic key pad on&nbsp;what they want in the commercial district<\/strong>.&nbsp;Issues such as design criteria for new construction, parking, and inclusion of housing in the business district will also&nbsp;be discussed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter the forum,&nbsp;<span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"MAPC\" data-scaytid=\"5\">MAPC<\/span> will&nbsp;recommend&nbsp;regulatory changes to the Planning Board which are necessary to accomplish the vision, and will also discuss the impacts of any proposed zoning changes. These will be brought to Town Meeting at the appropriate time, in conjunction with the advancement of the sewer project design and construction.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe forum will take place on <strong>Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 7:00 &#8211; 9:00&nbsp;pm at Town Hall<\/strong>.
