Can you leap tall buildings in a single bound, run faster than a speeding bullet, or throw a ball more than a mile? Are you fast? Do you like to race? Do you have a “good arm”? Come to this fun and informal track and field clinic. Events include a softball throw for distance, the broad jump, and four individual running races of different distances. There is also a 4 x 100 relay. Come with your relay team together or we will put you in one. The events are contested in three age groups: 9-10 year-olds, 11-12 year-olds, and 13-14 year-olds. This track program is a national program involving recreation departments that hold local and state track meets, culminating in an invitational, all-expense paid trip and competition in Hershey, PA for the winners. The national program is sponsored by the Hershey Corporation to promote fitness in America’s youth.

This 4-week clinic is for children between the ages of 9-14 (as of 12/31/06) and will be held from Wednesday, May 31st-June 21st from 3:45-5:15pm at the Lincoln-Sudbury RHS Track. There will also be a scrimmage on June 14th against Lincoln and Wayland from 3:30-5:00pm. The cost is $55 per child. If you are interested, you can register online at our website or in person at the Fairbank Community Center. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call at (978) 443-1092.
