The District owns, operates and maintains over 950 hydrants throughout Sudbury, this does not include snow clearing efforts. Though every hydrant is marked with a reflective flag harsh New England winters bring unavoidable snowfall. Historic accumulation and road clearing efforts will likely camouflage hydrants. We ask homeowners and businesses alike to be proactive; familiarize yourself with the hydrant located closest to you and collaborate with friends and neighbors to clear surrounding snow.
