The <strong>League of Women Voters of Sudbury <\/strong>will sponsor a Run for Office workshop <strong>today, Tuesday, Jan. 15<\/strong>, at <strong>7 p.m<\/strong>. at the Sudbury Town Hall. (Snow date is Jan. 17.)<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe workshop is designed for anyone who wants to know more about running for office or who might serve as a campaign manager or campaign treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Rosemary Harvell<\/strong>, Sudbury Town Clerk, will explain the filing procedures and deadlines to run for town offices and for school committee in Sudbury&rsquo;s town election March 25. <strong>Jason Tait<\/strong>, director of communications and public education, in the Office of Campaign and Political Finance of the Massachusetts Secretary of State&rsquo;s office, will discuss the financial requirements of a campaign for town office or school committee.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWhile the filing deadlines discussed during the workshop will be specific to this Sudbury election, the general information on filing procedures and campaign financing applies to the elections in all Massachusetts towns.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPeople interested in running for office in other towns are welcome to attend the workshop, which is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The League of Women Voters of Sudbury is sponsoring a Run for Office workshop this evening, Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 7 PM at Sudbury Town Hall.
