League of Women Voters Candidates’ Night

The League of Women Voters of Sudbury will hold its 63rd annual Candidates’ Night Wednesday, March 6, for candidates running for town office and school committee seats.

Candidates’ Night will be held in the auditorium at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, 390 Lincoln Rd., in Sudbury. The program starts at 7:30 p.m., with a chance to meet the candidates starting at 7:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The election is Monday, March 25, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There are 15 seats on this year’s ballot. Candidates’ Night will feature the candidates in the two contested races: four candidates for two seats on the Board of Selectmen and two candidates for one seat on the Sudbury School Committee (K-8).

Questions for candidates in contested races may be submitted in advance by email to [email protected] until 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 5. People attending Candidates’ Night may also bring their questions written on index cards or similar-sized paper or may write their questions on index cards at the high school before the program begins.

Candidates’ Night will be shown live on Sudbury cable Channel 8 (Comcast) and Channel 31 (Verizon) and will be repeated several times before the election. The program will also be available on the station’s website, www.sudburytv.org, as a video-on-demand option.

The League’s Voters’ Guide for the election will be available on the website, www.sudburyleague.com, after March 13.
