Message from Sudbury Water District:

In an ongoing effort to ensure water quality and system reliability, water pipe construction on Horse Pond Road, between the intersections of Trevor Way thru to Peakham Road, is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 23rd (weather permitting).

WHAT TO EXPECT

Water Outage
On Monday, September 23rd: Water service will be shut-off on Horse Pond Road between the intersections of Trevor Way and Elliot Road during the hours of 9 am to 1 pm (approx.) allowing for cutting and capping of the existing water main. Outage duration is a best-estimate based on past water infrastructure events it is not an exact time, impacted residents/businesses should make arrangements to be without water during this period.

Construction Hours
7:30 AM-4 PM, Monday-Friday thru project end, on or about November 15th.

Road Closure
Horse Pond Road “between” the intersections of Trevor Way and Peakham Road will be closed to thru traffic during construction hours.

The road will remain open to local-traffic, school buses and emergency vehicles only.

In an effort to reduce traffic delays and assist Sudbury Police Detail Officers in identifying “local-traffic,” vehicle passes will be made  available during regular business hours at our administration office located at 345 Boston Post Road, Suite A. Passes are only available for residents/businesses located on Hose Pond Road “between” the intersections of Trevor Way and Peakham Road, Evergreen Road, Stonebrook Road, Tall Pine Drive, Bridle Path and Trailside Circle. All others will be detoured around the construction zone.

Access to driveways and entranceways will be maintained. In the event it becomes necessary to block a driveway/entranceway for a short period of time (usually less than 4 hours) our contractor will attempt to contact the home/business owner to coordinate and minimize inconveniences. Every effort will be made to reduce traffic delays however commuters should expect some degree congestion.

Questions or concerns regarding this matter may be address by contacting our business office at (978) 443-6602.
