Grad Bag, according to their website, “is a green initiative to reuse college dorm supplies. We collect and redistribute lightly-used dorm room items that too often end up in landfills and give them to incoming college freshmen from low-income households.”

Grad Bag works primarily with student in the Let’s Get Ready program. They are run out of Temple Shalom, in Newton MA, and have partnered with a number of local university and colleges to collect and redistribute gently used or new items for college residence halls. Some examples of items they have collected are sheets, comforters, fans, lamps, laundry bags, shower caddys, and more. All linens are washed probono by Unitech.
