SUDBURY– The town committee studying solid waste disposal and recycling options will hold a public meeting Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. <\/P>

The committee will outline its work to date and seeks residents’ comments and questions about various options to deal with trash disposal and recycling. <\/P>
\n
The Solid Waste Management Options Committee (SWMOC) also expects to have the results from a September survey of residents available by the public meeting. <\/P>
\n
The meeting will also be broadcast live on Sudbury public access cable channel 8 (Comcast) or 31 (Verizon). <\/P>
\n
At the meeting, SWMOC will outline its work over the past year and a half, including research on the practices in comparable towns and interviews with solid waste hauling companies, as well as the results of the survey. The meeting will include an extensive question-and-comment period for resident input on what options should be available to the town. <\/P>

The committee expects to make its recommendations to the Selectmen by the end of 2008. <\/P>
