The FY13 first and second quarter real estate and personal property tax bills have been mailed to all Sudbury property owners. These preliminary bills reflect estimated tax amounts due prior to the actual tax rate determination that normally occurs in the third quarter of the fiscal year. To avoid late charges, payment on the first quarter FY13 preliminary tax bill amounts must be received in our office on or before August 1, 2012. If you have not received your tax bill by July 15th, please contact us at (978) 639-3376 or stop by our office in the Flynn Building, and we will be happy to provide a duplicate.
*bill form change alert* you may have noticed that the preliminary tax bills have a slightly different format/layout. In addition to the barcode (for our internal use) not printing properly on the payment stubs we are aware of the billfolds placement which makes tearing along the perforations difficult. We apologize for any concerns or frustration this may cause. Our bill process& distribution vendor was recently acquired by another company which also involved a conversion to a new system, distribution center and staffing. We’ve been assured all issues will be cleared up by our next mailing. We will monitor their progress and evaluate other options, as necessary.
