Sudbury Community Preservation Committee Seeks New Member
The Sudbury Community Preservation Committee (CPC) is seeking an At-Large member of the community to be appointed by the Select Board for a three-year term. Members must be Sudbury residents, have a basic understanding of Town Meeting procedures, and bring complementary skills to the existing board. All interested residents are welcome to submit a Volunteer Application to the Town.
The duties of the CPC are to study the needs, possibilities, and resources of the Town regarding community preservation, which include open space and recreation, community housing, and historic preservation. As part of its studies, the CPC holds one or more public informational hearings to gather input on projects and possibilities. All meetings of the CPC are open to the public. Generally, meetings take place the first and third Wednesday evening of each month. The CPC is staffed by the Planning and Community Development Department, who prepare agendas, post meetings, takes minutes, and monitor projects.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. All members are required to be appointed by the Select Board.
