The Select Board is seeking members of the community to serve on the Rail Trails Advisory Committee (RTAC) as associate members. There are currently 2 non-voting associate seats open. Both positions are appointed by the Select Board based on recommendations by the RTAC.

Desired qualifications include, Sudbury residents with a demonstrated interest in rail trails, community relations, public health and recreation, alternative transportation options, natural and historic resources, business development, and/or promotion of Sudbury’s unique sense of place.

The Select Board is committed to developing an overall project and vision for the rail trail conversions that has the support of the community. The Select Board and staff look to this Advisory Committee to assist in advising on matters regarding the development, design, construction, enhancement and maintenance of rail trails in Sudbury, specifically the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail and the Mass Central Rail Trail.
