Rail Trails Advisory Committee Mission Statement On August 12, 2025, the Select Board updated the mission statement for the Rail Trails Advisory Committee. This committee was initially established by the Board of Selectmen on September 9, 2016, amended December 6, 2016, November 4, 2020 and on March 21, 2023, where the Select Board updated the mission statement and renamed the BFRT Advisory Task Force as the Rail Trails Advisory Committee. The Rail Trails Advisory Committee is intended to advise the Select Board and staff on matters regarding the development, design, construction, enhancement and maintenance of rail trails in Sudbury, specifically the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail and the Mass Central Rail Trail.
