The Sudbury Community Preservation Committee (CPC) is seeking an At-Large member to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen for a three year term. Members must be Sudbury residents, have a basic understanding of Town Meeting procedures and bring complementary skills to the existing board. If interested please submit a completed Volunteer Form to the Town. The position will be open until it is filled.

Under the Sudbury Bylaws, the CPC must consist of nine voting members. One member from the Conservation Commission, Historical Commission, Planning Board, Park and Recreation Commission, Sudbury Housing Authority, Finance Committee, Board of Selectmen, and two At-Large members. The duties of the CPC are to study the needs, possibilities, and resources of the Town regarding community preservation, which include open space and recreation, community housing and historic preservation. As part of its studies, the Committee holds one or more public informational hearings to gain input on projects and possibilities. All meetings of the CPC are open to the public.

Meetings take place the first and third Wednesday evening of each month. The CPC is staffed by the Planning and Community Development Department staff, who prepare the agenda, post meetings, takes minutes and monitor projects.
