“The consent decree requires Boston to install or upgrade an average of 1,630 curb ramps per year until all of them meet ADA standards. They’ll be prioritized based on how heavily they’re trafficked, and if they’re near public transportation or other key areas.”

This 5 minute piece gives a wheelchair user’s view of moving around on streets if no curb cut ramp, or a snow-covered ramp prevents using the sidewalk.  The Justice Department takes that view seriously.
