The Town of Sudbury, Massachusetts, represented by the Town Manager, the awarding authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for:
- OLD FRAMINGHAM ROAD WALKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT
CONTRACT 2022-OFRW-1
BID DEPOSIT: 5% OF TOTAL BID

In accordance with M.G.L. c.30, Section 39M, the Town of Sudbury seeks sealed bids for the Old Framingham Road Walkway Extension Project. The proposed Work generally includes: reconstruction and realignment of roadway and intersection; road subbase; guardrails; grading; erosion and sedimentation control; construction of new sidewalk; removal of drainage structures and drain pipe; construction of new drainage structures and drain pipe; replacement of closed-channel culvert segment with pipe culvert; construction of new headwalls; repointing of existing stone masonry headwall; development and execution of a water control management plan as necessary during construction; protection and support of existing utilities; other surficial improvements as shown on the plans; and all materials and equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work.

A refundable bid document deposit of $50/set is required, payable to BidDocs Online, Inc. Deposits may be paid electronically or must be made with a certified or cashier’s check. Mailing fee is $40/set (non-refundable), payable to BidDocs Online, Inc. (electronically or certified or cashier’s check).
THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of treasurers’ check, certified check, bid bond, or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Sudbury.
A non-mandatory pre-Bid Conference will be held at Town of Sudbury Department of Public Works in the Engineering Conference Room at 275 Old Lancaster Road, Sudbury, MA on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. EST. An optional site visit will be available following the pre-Bid Conference.
Bid period inquiries regarding the Work and questions concerning this Invitation to Bid must be submitted in writing via email to: Scott Salvucci, Woodard & Curran, Inc. 250 Royall Street, Suite 200E, Canton, MA, email: ssalvucci@woodardcurran.com. Written responses will be sent by BidDocs ONLINE, Inc. to all Bidders on record as having received Bidding Documents. All questions shall be submitted by Friday April 1, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. EST.
All Bids shall be submitted electronically online at www.biddocsonline.com no later than the date and time specified above.
The Town of Sudbury reserves the right to waive any informality, reject any or all bids, or to accept any total bid or unit price which he deems to be in the best interest of the Town of Sudbury.
