Town-wide Roadway Preservation Bid

The Town of Sudbury, Massachusetts, represented by the Town Manager, the awarding authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors prequalified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation for:

 

  1. TOWNWIDE ROADWAY PRESERVATION

     CONTRACT 2022-PRES-1

     BID DEPOSIT:  5% OF TOTAL BID

     BID OPENING:  03/31/22 @ 10:00 AM

 

Bidding shall be for calendar year 2022, with a renewal option for each of the two succeeding calendar years.

 

Bidding documents, including Specifications and forms, may be obtained at the Office of the Director of Public Works, 275 Old Lancaster Road, Sudbury, MA  01776 from

9:00 AM to 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. Bids must be plainly marked “BID FOR TOWNWIDE ROADWAY PRESERVATION” and must be received in a sealed envelope addressed to the Director of Public Works at the address above before 10:00 a.m. local time, Thursday March 31, 2022 at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  

 

Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of treasurers check, certified check payable to the Town of Sudbury, bid bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to the Town, or a cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company payable to the Town of Sudbury.  The amount of such bid deposit shall be 5% of total bid for calendar year 2022.

 

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a labor and materials payment bond as set forth in the bid documents.  Attention is called to the requirements of minimum wage rates, as set forth in the contract documents, which shall be paid on this project. 

 

All bids shall remain in effect for thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after bid opening.

 

The Town of Sudbury reserves the right to waive any informality, reject any or all bids, or to accept any total bid or unit price which he deems to be in the best interest of the Town of Sudbury.
