The Town of Sudbury, Massachusetts, represented by the Town Manager, the awarding authority, invites sealed bids for:

 

  1. TOWNWIDE ROADWAY RESURFACING

     CONTRACT 2024-BIP-1

     BID DEPOSIT:  5% OF TOTAL BID

     BID OPENING:  4/04/24 at 10:00 AM

 

In accordance with M.G.L. c.30, Section 39M, the Town of Sudbury seeks sealed bids for the 2024 Townwide Resurfacing Contract Roadway Improvement Project. The work under this contract consists of roadway rehabilitation to various streets throughout the Town of Sudbury. The rehabilitation includes pavement micro-milling and overlay, full depth pavement patching, and sidewalk construction.

 

Bidding shall be for Calendar year 2024. Awarding Authority reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional 12 month options. Valuation for purposes of MassDOT Prequalification is based on first year times three (3) to arrive at an estimated total value of all bid items. The estimated value provided in this Invitation to Bid is for one year. Vendors are expected to be able to provide their services over three (3) years at three (3) times the initial estimated value.

 

MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Pavement Surfacing, for the project with an estimated value of $799,546.07 will be required under this contract, with an option of 3 years $2,398,638.21.

 

Bid documents may be obtained online at www.biddocs.com (may be viewed electronically and hardcopy requested).

 

A refundable bid document deposit of $50/set is required, payable to BidDocs Online, Inc.  Deposits may be paid electronically or must be made with a certified or cashier’s check.  Mailing fee is $40/set (non-refundable), payable to BidDocs Online, Inc. (electronically or certified or cashier’s check).    

 

THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

 

Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of treasurers’ check, certified check, bid bond, or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Sudbury.

 

There will be no Pre-Bid Conference for this project.

 

All Bids shall be submitted electronically online at www.biddocs.com no later than the date and time specified above.
