Today, Thursday, July 18th the contractor completed milling Lincoln Road in Sudbury from Concord Road to Water Row. In addition, they made one pass from Water Row all the way to Sherman’s Bridge where they will shut down for the night.

Lincoln Road between Water Row & Sherman’s Bridge
Friday, 7/19/24
  • 7AM – Lincoln Road will be CLOSED EASTBOUND ONLY from 7AM – 12PM between Water Row and Sherman’s Bridge. Traffic will remain open on the WESTBOUND ONLY so we do not inconvenience Wayland traffic coming into Sudbury. Milling begins at the bridge and makes its way to Weir Hill Road.
  • 8AM (Approx.) – Milling will turn up Weir Hill Road and mill until 9:30AM.
  • 9:30AM (Approx.) – Milling to continue on Lincoln Road westbound until around noontime when it reaches Water Row.
  • 12PM (Approx.) – Milling to proceed to the middle of the road, and traffic cannot safely pass the equipment, thus Lincoln Road will be CLOSED in BOTH DIRECTIONS between Water Row and Sherman’s Bridge from 12PM – 5PM. We will coordinate with Wayland Police and DPW to place a ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC at Sherman’s Bridge Road and Oxbow Road and a BRIDGE CLOSED sign at Sherman’s Bridge in Wayland.
  • 5PM (Approx.) – The contractor indicates they should be off the road by 5PM. At that time, Lincoln Road will be open in both directions.

The contractor indicates that paving Lincoln Road will begin on Monday, July 22, between 9 and 10AM.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience in this process.
