An article has been submitted by the Board of Selectmen for the 2013 Annual Town Meeting to fund the construction of a new police station. Last Tuesday night at the Board of Selectmen's meeting, the Board was unanimous in agreeing construction of a new police station remains an urgent priority. The original plan had an $8.2 million price tag in 2007, but after review by a Blue Ribbon Citizens Committee, the plans have been revised and the current estimate for construction is closer to $7 million. Attached is the Final Report by the Blue Ribbon Police Committee.
