The Town of Sudbury, Massachusetts, represented by the Town Manager, the awarding authority, invites sealed bids for drainage improvements at the newly constructed Fairbank Community Center, with an add alternate for accessible parking spaces in the West parking lot.

Pursuant to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30 § 39M,  the Town of Sudbury invites electronic bids for the Fairbank Community Center Drainage Improvements at the Fairbank Community Center, 40 Fairbank Road, Sudbury, MA until the time specified below at which time the bids will be opened and read. The work includes installation of drywells, connecting roof leaders to drywells, associated piping, excavation, backfill, and landscape restoration.

All project documents, including specifications and bid forms, will be electronically distributed by the Town of Sudbury Facilities Department on August 7, 2024, starting at 9AM. Send request to facilities@sudbury.ma.us

Bids are to be submitted by email no later than Noon local time, on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at which time they will be opened and read. Bids submitted to Sandra Duran, Combined Facilities Director at durans@sudbury.ma.us 

Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of cash, certified check payable to the Town of Sudbury, bid bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to the Town, or a cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company payable to the Town of Sudbury.  The amount of such bid deposit shall be 5% of total bid  including the add alternate .

Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held at 40 Fairbank Road, Sudbury, MA 01776 on August 14, 2024, at 9:00 AM .  The pre-bid conference is not mandatory.  The conference attendees will meet in the Haskell Field Parking Lot, across Fairbank Road. 

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a labor and materials payment bond as set forth in the bid documents.  Attention is called to the requirements of minimum wage rates, as set forth in the contract documents, which shall be paid on this project. 

All bids shall remain in effect for thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after bid opening.

The Town of Sudbury reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any or all bids, or to accept any total bid or unit price which it deems to be in the best interest of the Town of Sudbury. 

The Town plans to execute a contact immediately . Work of this contract shall be substantially complete in 60 calendar days.
