Where can I charge my electric vehicle?
The Town of Sudbury is committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and improving our climate resilience. A great way that we can help with this mission is by supporting the transition from gas-powered vehicles to battery-powered vehicles. To support this transition to electric, the Town has been and will continue to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Town-owned facilities throughout the community. With the help of Guardian Energy Management Solutions, the Town of Sudbury installed four (4) Level 2 Dual-Port EV charger at the Fairbank Community Center (40 Fairbank Road) this Fall 2024. These EV chargers were commissioned and became fully operational on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. In order to use these EV chargers, all you need to do is unhook the hose from the EV charger, and plug it into your vehicle’s charging port. Once plugged in, your vehicle should start charging. Beginning on February 1, 2025, these chargers will require payment and will have a parking fee. Until that time, these chargers will be offered to the community free of charge and are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
