Good Neighbor Day at Goodnow Library
Join friends and neighbors at the Goodnow Library on Saturday, September 28, from 12PM – 2PM, for Good Neighbor Day!
Massachusetts Good Neighbor Day aims to ensure all residents of the Commonwealth feel connected to their community and enjoy a strong sense of social health. This day acknowledges and celebrates the importance of being a good neighbor and creates an opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other better. Local libraries have always been an important hub of community life, and they stand today as one of the sole remaining public community spaces in many areas. Goodnow is honored to bring people together to build community, while helping to alleviate loneliness and social isolation.
This day will include activities for neighbors of all ages!
- Pack a picnic and enjoy live music on the front lawn (50’s and early 60’s rock and roll) by Retro Polatin!
- Enjoy donuts and cider provided by Goodnow Library Foundation
- Get to know your neighbor BINGO
- “What Do You Love About Goodnow?” Sidewalk chalk prompt
- Rock painting on the library front lawn
- Puzzle Swap (300 pieces and up) in Community Room
- Halloween Costume Swap for children in the Story & Craft Room (click here for more information on the swap)
